Travelling to the Netherlands with regards to COVID-19

Travelling from an EU/Schengen country or a country participating in the EU travel rules scheme:

There are no coronavirus entry rules for people travelling from:

  • countries within the EU/Schengen area
  • countries participating in the EU travel rules scheme.

If you are travelling by air, complete a health declaration form.

You are advised to do a self-test immediately after arrival in the Netherlands and again on day 5.

Travelling from outside the EU:

When you are a resident of an EU/Schengen country or a country participating in the EU travel rules scheme, there are no coronavirus entry rules for you. Please check the information above about travelling, since the same information applies to you. 

If you are a resident of anouther country, the EU entry ban applies to you. There are exemptions to the entry ban, for example for people travelling from a safe country or people with proof of vaccination or proof of recovery. This proof of vaccination or recovery must meet certain requirements.

If you are travelling by air or by sea, complete a health declaration form.

You are advised to do a self-test immediately after arrival in the Netherlands and again on day 5.
